60 huge tubes from Bitburg to Rotterdam
The task: Transport 60 huge tubes measuring each up to 12,50 m x 5,80 m x 5,40 m from Bitburg/Staffelstein to Rotterdam/Maasvlakte. For such dimensions, the only possible transportation mode is to use waterways.
We offered our customer a complete solution, i.e. pre-carriage in convoys of 4 trucks to Liège, transhipment to a canal boat and water transport.
Since the height of the transport made it impossible to use motorways, the route of the 15 convoys passed via many small roads and through many small villages.
