# A creative way to cross a roundabout

			
What initially seemed impossible was solved through precise planning and the right equipment: Three rotor blades, each measuring 70 m in length, had to pass through a roundabout completely surrounded by trees, hedges, and street lighting.

The main challenge was the central island itself: it was raised by approximately 50 cm and bordered by natural stone curbs that were not allowed to be removed or damaged under any circumstances.

Our solution combined the ramp elements of our fly-over bridge system, our Goldhofer wingcarriers with extremely high lifting capabilities, and large steel plates. This created a temporary crossing over the central island without any modification to the existing infrastructure.

The entire operation — including setup, transport crossing, and dismantling — was completed within just five hours.
